Christmas is one of my favorite holidays, and this year is no exception. We can’t wait to decorate our house for the holidays with my girls, especially now that it’s snowing, dark, and extremely cold outside.

CLASSIC & COZY CHRISTMAS DECOR SCHEME IN RED, GREEN & GOLD
My daughter wanted to include some traditional red elements in the Christmas décor for the living room this year. I made a mood board using the traditional color combination of red, green, and gold for our holiday decoration design. Additionally, we want to utilize a lot of greenery, plaid, and soft fabrics. It has a typical, nostalgic appearance that makes me think of earlier Christmases.

HOW TO DECORATE A CHRISTMAS TREE
I used my customary eucalyptus & sparkling choices for the Christmas tree this year. Your tree will appear fuller and have more depth as a result. After that, we decorated the tree with some red, green, and gold ornaments to match our traditional Christmas color scheme. Along with adding some red velvet ribbon to some of the branches, I also hung some vintage-style gold bells on the tree. While the style is straightforward, I find it to be so lovely!

Our tree has a few star-shaped Christmas decorations from the dollar store and a few more that we had from earlier seasons. This year, we’re using red and plain-colored wrapping paper for our presents. That will, in my opinion, enhance this nostalgic appearance even more!
