Cats may sleep for up to 18 hours each day, or even longer as they get older. Your cat has probably been sleeping in a variety of odd poses that you have probably never seen before.
Other cat resting patterns are reminiscent of their natural habitat. Cats must pay attention to stay alive in the wild or outside since they are both predators and prey animals. Cats are thus extremely perceptive of their environment and protective of their body. That clarifies why they could, for instance, sleep curled up in a ball.
With a little knowledge, you can interpret your cat’s resting postures and what they reveal about how your cat is feeling.
