In order to preserve the life of a golden retriever abandoned for dead in a trash bag outside a dog meat facility in South Korea, all four of her legs had to be amputated.
The cute dog, Chi Chi, was bound tightly by her paws in order to prepare her for slaughter. The painful bindings destroyed her flesh, and brutal dog farmers decided she was unfit to be eaten.
She was fortunately discovered by an animal protection organization, and in an effort to preserve her life, they severed all four of her paws.
