Five of the most famous cats on the internet

Meet 5 of the most well known and beloved internet cats ever.

The internet adores cat images, gifs, and videos, as is well known. Yes, other animals can engage in enjoyable activities like silly selfies and scooter riding like any other male. Heck, some animals can even work a job to make money or photobomb a picture with ease. However, none of those animals have achieved the same level of internet renown as the cats on this list.

Despite the fact that viewing cat videos has been scientifically shown to improve mood, even those who claim to detest cats can’t help but be charmed by Lil’ Bub’s attractiveness. The nice people of the internet will always appreciate a hilarious furry companion. Grumpy Cat, the cat mascot for all grumpy people, was created.

On the internet, there is a cat for every person! Here are five well-known felines who have developed a significant following on the internet.

Grumpy cat

All people adore Grumpy Cat! When a Reddit user submitted a picture of Tard (short for Tardar/Tartar Sauce), his sister’s cat, in September 2012, the internet fell in love with him right away. Grumpy Cat quickly became well-known and was earning far more money than any of us non-famous cat owners could have ever imagined.

Despite the fact that Grumpy Cat is currently traveling the nation, signing book and movie deals, and overall being as well-known as a cat can possibly be, I have a sneaking suspicion that she doesn’t really care. But her owners seem to be having a great time.

Keyboard Cat

In 1984, Charlie Schmidt mysteriously put his cat, “Fatso,” in front of an electronic piano while donning a blue shirt. How shall I put it? When they’re bored, people often do strange things.

One of the most famous animal memes ever was born as soon as the YouTube video of the cat “performing” a cheery tune went viral. Presently, Keyboard Cat can be seen in parodies, advertisements, and TV shows.

All Hail Colonel Meow!

Colonel Meow is a Himalayan Persian cat that became well-known online thanks to his distinctive fluffy coat and intensely angry attitude.

Colonel Meow best captures it in his Twitter summary: “I’m a fluffy, grouchy cat who wants to dominate the entire planet. I enjoy treaties. My #1 Minion is a golden retriever named Boots. Screw it.”

Nyan Cat

A YouTube clip depicting an animated cartoon cat (with the body of a Pop-Tart, just for kicks) floating into space, leaving a rainbow trail behind it, and set to a Japanese pop song went viral, sparking the entire situation.

Soon there were social media accounts, a website, an animated gif, and a ton of Nyan Cat apparel. Why? Because, well, why not.

Business Cat

Business Cat combines standard office speak with cat behavior that is more akin to an a-hole.

Business Cat doesn’t actually work (duh). He is actually a domestic cat by the name of “Emilio,” whose owner’s girlfriend gave him a collar and tie for Christmas and then posted a picture of him on Reddit. As they say, the rest is history.

You’ve got to see them to believe them.
