Arnia is one of the four dogs we managed to rescue from that garage yard. She was in a heartbreaking condition: emaciated, anemic, dehydrated, having muscular spasms and suffering from giardiasis. She has made a beautiful recovery, regaining not only her health, but also all the joy and happiness she missed before. She is approximately 2-3 years old, but has the spirit of a little puppy, jumping with joy, playing with pretty much everything and crazily zooming around the yard
This little dog is Arnia
Arnia and several other dogs lived in the yard of a rundown garage
It was a sunny but cold december day
And the warmest ‘bed’ for them was that pile of tiles
The brown dog on the right is Alma, whose rescue we presented in our previous video.
And the dog in the middle is Anuka, whom we also rescued
Arnia’s name means ‘strong as an eagle”
and that’s exactly how this sweet, brave little dog turned out to be
she was severely anemic, dehydrated and underweight.
And so exhausted, that she only wanted to sleep
Arnia weighed only 6 kg (13 Ibs)
that’s half the normal weight for her size.
…One month later
Arnia is around 2-3 years old, but she doesn’t know that.
She thinks she’s just a little puppy and acts accordingly
She’s the happinest dog now
finding joy and fun even in the most ordinary things.
She’s happy even when we take her to the vet, for her regular check-ups.
Out for a walk in the park, she’s a little shy because it’s a new environment for her
Arnia is now looking for an adoptive family
She’s in our care at Howl of a Dog in Romania, but can also be adopted internationally.
From hopeless to jumping with joy
