the perfect way for Ms. Lohan to return to the big screen

Yes, watching movies is enjoyable all year long. However, there’s simply something about viewing holiday movies that makes it an experience like no other. There’s no doubting that they are, but I have no idea how they manage to be so addictive. Who among you hasn’t seen Elf or Home Alone? Or at the very least, knows their stories? Funny you can’t, though.
Nothing beats watching a movie about the happiest time of the year while curled up on the couch with some hot cocoa (or wine, depending on the mood, of course). There are several selections to pick from, ranging from the timeless OG masterpieces to more current releases that merit just as much of the buzz. In order to keep you engaged during the holiday season, we’ve compiled a list of the top Christmas movies. It’s time to settle in and pay attention:
1. Falling for Christmas (2022)
All you really need to know about Falling for Christmas is that it marks Lindsay Lohan’s comeback to acting. But alas, if that isn’t enough to get you to watch, LiLo’s portrayal of a privileged heiress in Aspen who develops amnesia and falls in love with the proprietor of a nearby ski lodge most certainly should be. It’s a touching tale ideal for a season’s worth of cozy viewing.
2. Four Christmases (2008)
Streaming on HBO Max
Couple Brad and Kate must spend Christmas Day traipsing to four family gatherings in this shockingly underappreciated holiday comedy after their exotic vacation plans abruptly fall through. Kate begins to second guess her decisions and wonders whether her family is really too much for her to handle while Brad counts down the minutes till he can leave the raging relatives.
3. Klaus (2019)
The holiday movie Klaus, which just came out, is ideal for the animated movie kick we all get at this time of year. Postman Jesper is exiled to a frozen town in the North Pole after demonstrating that he is the worst student at the postal academy. There, he meets the reclusive toymaker Klaus and they start to develop an odd friendship.
4. Elf (2003)
What would Christmas be without Will Ferrell performing as an elf? Nothing! In this time-honored classic, Buddy, a little child unintentionally sent to the North Pole, was reared as an adult among Santa’s elves. So, as an adult, he sets out for New York to find his biological father and ends up causing some havoc in the process.
5. Happiest Season (2020)
We are grateful to Kristen Stewart for creating this contemporary holiday masterpiece with an 11/10 performance. In the movie, a young lady has plans to pop the question to her girlfriend during her family’s yearly holiday party, but her preparations are derailed when she learns that her partner hasn’t yet come out to her very traditional parents.
6. Spirited (2022)
This holiday season, a musical comedy starring Will Ferrell and Ryan Reynolds? Count us in. In this humorous spin on a holiday classic, the duo retells Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol from the viewpoint of the Ghost of Christmas Present.
7. Krampus (2015)
The frightening season doesn’t have to end just because it’s the holidays. When a dysfunctional family fights, their little boy Max loses his holiday cheer, which summons the fury of the ominous Krampus from European folklore. The entire family have to work together to save one another as Krampus sneakily approaches the Engel residence.
8. The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special (2022)
The holidays are no exception to the rule that a new twist from The Marvel Cinematic Universe will always find a way to emerge on your screen. In this movie, the Guardians travel to Earth in search of the ideal present for their commander, Star Lord, in order to make Quill’s Christmas spectacular.
9. Last Christmas (2019)
10. Love, Actually (2003)
What would this world be like if the most cherished holiday rom-com film never existed? In the weeks running up to Christmas, Love Actually follows nine interconnected lives as it explores the complexity of the one feeling that unites us all: love.
11. Christmas On The Farm (2021)
12. Something From Tiffany’s (2022)
Imagine that despite being in the wrong hands, your engagement ring turned out to be everything you required. While the picture-perfect pair Ethan and Vanessa are poised to become engaged, Rachel and Gary are a happy couple but not quite ready for that big commitment. Their paths eventually cross due to a simple mix-up of their gifts, which triggers a sequence of detours that take them to their true destination.
13. The Nightmare Before Christmas (1993)
There’s a good reason why this perennial holiday favorite has its very own ride at Disneyland. The movie centers on Jack Skellington, the popular pumpkin king of Halloweentown, who has grown weary of scaring people every year in the “real world” until he accidentally stumbles onto Christmastown, which offers him a new perspective on life.
14. A Christmas Story Christmas (2022)
A Christmas Story, one of the most cherished holiday films ever, is being resumed 30 years after its initial premiere. Ralphie is shown to be fully grown and to have his own family. He wishes to offer his children a fantastic Christmas experience similar to the one he was fortunate enough to enjoy as a youngster.
15. Die Hard (1988)
Is Santa real? is the first of the season’s two greatest queries. And secondly, is Die Hard a holiday movie? Well, I firmly believe it to be (and a really good one for that matter). A group of terrorists storm the exclusive high-rise where they are attending his wife’s office holiday party while NYC policeman John McClane is visiting his estranged wife and two daughters on Christmas Eve. As the festivities are interrupted, John quickly realizes that he is the only person who can save them all.
