Can it get any cuter than this? I think not…

Zoey is a Taiwanese rescue dog. A student who witnessed the incident saved her and her brothers after the shopkeeper washed them into a gutter where they were born. She brought the puppies home and made contact with the Taiwanese Animal Rescue Team, who prepared the puppies for adoption in America.

Zoey was welcomed into the family after being picked up at LAX by Los Angeles commercial photographer Grace Chon, who specializes in animal, lifestyle, and photographs of celebrities and their pets. Grace enjoys dressing up her dogs in goofy costumes, just like many other pet owners. Zoey enjoys dressing up despite her extreme shyness and fear of novelty.

She enjoys posing for the camera and does a joyful dance when the props are brought out. Zoey doesn’t require any of the numerous rewards that I usually use to keep dogs engaged while I work with them. She will remain motionless and patiently pose until we are finished.

According to Grace, Baby Jasper is the happiest baby she has ever met. He has been grinning for pictures ever since the day of his birth. When Jasper was born ten months ago, Grace began collecting hats for photo props, as do most photographers, and she jokingly put one on Zoey. The idea to place the infant and the dog side by side came from Grace’s sister.the adorable series you can see here as a result.

Each session lasts five to ten minutes, which is about how long a newborn or a dog would be able to pay attentively. Then, I suppose, it’s back to whatever it is that babies and dogs do. Jasper and Zoey are quickly becoming “siblings” and buddies. Jasper used to make Zoey nervous for a very long time, but a few months ago, Jasper approached Zoey and let him pet her. “Since that time, their friendship has rapidly expanded. She runs into his room first thing in the morning and likes to sit by our feet as I feed him.

Grace Chon’s clients include Purina, Milkbone, Nintendo of America and Best Friends Animal Society and in her free time, Grace photographs homeless dogs looking for their forever homes and donates her photography services every year to multiple dog rescue groups in Los Angeles.
